Angela A Stanton, PhD has earned her doctorate in Neuroeconomics (PhD in Economics with Experimental Neuroscience as the dissertation, here is chapter 2 of the dissertation for understanding the field: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0001128 ) and is fMRI certified. Her research focused on understanding how human decision-making is influenced by neurotransmitter (hormonal) changes in the brain. She ran many experiments, gaining an appreciation of the important roles neurons and hormones play in mental and physiological functions. As a postdoc, she was invited to the Max Planck Institute in Germany as a visiting research fellow. A lifelong migraine sufferer, in 2009 she took early retirement from her teaching position and has become an avid researcher in the field of migraines. Her efforts of understanding the cause of migraines have been assisted by thousands of migraine sufferers around the world. In 2014 she published the first, and in 2017 the second edition of the book (Fighting the Migraine Epidemic: Complete Guide) that established her as a leader in the field of migraine research based on nutrition and electrolytes. She now teaches migraine sufferers and healthcare practitioners all over the world about how to abort and prevent migraines without the use of medicine, using nutritional methods. She lives in sunny Southern California with her husband near her children and grandchildren, where she never stops trying to inspire everyone about the health benefits of healthy low-carbohydrate ways of eating, as well as the importance of staying active with mind and body.

THE MORNING SHOW with Patrick Timpone: Angela A. Stanton PhD:

New Book Release

Fighting the Migraine Epidemic: A Complete Guide. How to Treat & Prevent Migraines Without Medicine is released in both paperback and e-book around the world.

Fighting the Migraine Epidemic: Complete Guide

Fighting the Migraine Epidemic: Complete Guide

Why Migraine?

My doctoral studies did not start out with the goal of understanding migraine, but they helped me because of two key reasons:

1) My doctorate is multidisciplinary, meaning it requires the understanding of many fields. It taught me to be broad in my vision and stay open-minded to be able to think out of the box and to connect the dots. I have become more of a visionary scientist (I would call that a theorist if there was such in medicine) than a lab scientist. I take advantage of being able to connect dots that are invisible to others.

2) I too am a migraineur so seeing the problem from within allowed me to ask questions that other researchers or doctors cannot think of.

I have discovered the cause of migraines and have been living a migraine and medicine free life for many years now. I am passing on the wisdom to thousands of migraineurs and also to many doctors now all over the world. I have a long list of testimonials posted on my special website to Stanton Migraine Protocol®, which is now the gold standard and only true prevention and treatment for migraines without medicines. Many doctors and even a local hospital now sends migraineurs my way for treatment and there are several doctors in my migraine group to learn what I do.

Angela wrote above: “I have discovered the cause of migraines.” If that were true the whole of the medical world would know the cause of migraines by reading her book and Angela would be an internationally recognised medical genius. But she’s not.

    • John, I removed part of your comment for it’s vulgarity and falsity. The reason why “the whole of the medical world would know the cause of migraines by reading her book and Angela would be an internationally recognised medical genius” cannot happen is because something that is preventable for free means is not profitable for anyone.

I do sell a book, true. However, one need not buy the book to read it; it is available free via libraries across the world. It is also available for free read for those part of the Amazon free reading program–again, it is free for the reader, they pay some minimal monthly fee to read whatever book they want free.

In addition to being able to read the book free, the cause of migraine–given that it is known–suggests that migraine is preventable. If it is preventable, it makes no money to anyone: not the doctors who see migraineurs, not the pharmaceuticals that sell medicines, and not the pharmacies that sell medicines. It would also stop Botox sales, chiropractic and similar services, etc.

A preventable condition means that once it is prevented, many industries that supported the condition with treatments die out. It is in no one’s interest to allow that to happen–except for the interest of migraineurs who care.

I have helped over 8000 migraineurs in the past 6 years just on Facebook alone and they are not only migraine free themselves, but help their family members and friends. I get emails and letters from dozens of people I have never heard of daily writing me how amazing their life has become as a result of my work, and I have never even had contact with them.

Think whatever you want to think, facts remain. My protocols (I have several) work for everyone, make no money for anyone at all, and create thousands of healthy people. Do I make enemies in the process? Of course. I have no idea who you are and why you wrote the ugly things you did, but obviously I took some migraine sufferers away from you and you are angry. I understand. However, being angry about the loss of migraineurs because they have gotten rid of their migraines can only mean one thing: you are a terrible person I wish never to meet.

    Hi Angela,
Firstly than you very much for sharing this very valuable information with the world. A very altruistic and noble act indeed! I am a chronic migraineur and have read your book. My systolic tends to fluctuate between 120-140 … but my diastolic is mostly less than 80. I have tried salt in the last week or so during an onset and it definitely produces immediate results. Sometimes the results are short-term, as in, the symptoms resume after an hour or so … not sure if I have to consume more salt when that happens?

    • Hi Ravi,

Glad to hear that the salt worked for you short term. Salt is not the only thing you need–if it were that simple, this page, my book, and my migraine group would not be needed. Please feel free to join my Facebook migraine group–that is also free–where we (several admins who help) support and help migraineurs. You will learn there what to do.

      Best wishes,

  4. Justine Johnson says:

    Hello Angela
Thanks to you, I don’t have a migraine! I started getting the occasional migraines monthly and thought I was pre-menopausal. Then in the past four months I had one with every period; 48 hours of pain that sent me to bed and put my life on hold. I have low blood pressure, a very strong fight or flight response, I’m sensitive to loud noise, I have a very healthy, sugar/fructose free diet and five months ago I became a vegetarian (you can see where this is going!). I read your book three weeks ago and brought salt into my life, changed how I drank water… I should have a migraine now and I don’t!!!! A million thank yous! I am SO happy!
    Thank you again

Hi Angela, I am a chronic migraineur and I also have Hashimoto’s. Does this mean I cannot benefit from your advice?

    • Be Healthy says:

      Hi Trugiz,

Hashimoto’s is iodine sensitivity. It does not affect how much I can help you with your migraines at all. 🙂 There are several migraineurs with whom I work who have Hashimoto’s disease. No problem at all.

Glad to help you and looking forward to talking with you,
